How to Increase Current and Savings Accounts in Indonesian Bank (Case Study at Branch X of Bank ABC) (Published)
Branch X took place in Region IV of the Industrial Estates of Jabodetabek. Its strategic position made it one of the flagship branches. Low-cost funds, namely current and savings accounts, became two significant parameters to see an overall increase in market share in the area of Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung. At the time, Branch X had not achieved the targets set by management. Therefore, the branch should improve because Management wanted growth at 18% in the next five years, averagely. This study aimed to identify external and internal factors that influence and then formulate several alternative strategies through the IE Matrix. The results of the matrix showed that Branch X’s position was in quadrant V, so the strategy that must be taken was ‘hold and maintain’, namely market penetration and product development. Product development cannot be done at the Branch level, but rather must be at the Head Office. As a result, several alternative market penetration options were also in line with the tools that have been given by Management in ‘12 Sources of Current and Savings Accounts in Region IV’.
Business Development Strategy of Indonesia Agribusiness Media in Digital Era Case Study: PT Permata Wacana Lestari (Published)
Development of digital technology has an impact on media industry, especially the print media. Nowadays readers prefer to access news via digital media. PT PWL as one of the agricultural press has concerns about that issue, so it needs various strategies to survive in the digital era. This study aims to identify internal and external factors affecting business development in PT PWL, formulating strategies that can be applied in PT PWL, and determine the priority strategy for development of print media business in PT PWL. This study was used IFE and EFE Matrix, SWOT and QSPM Matrix. The results showed that main strength in PT PWL is brand awareness among the livestock, fisheries and agriculture industry. The main weakness is conventional information and technology systems. The Opportunity is development of a digital-based industry. In addition, higher printing costs are a major threat to PT PWL. The main priority strategy for PT PWL is development of digital-based products such as news reporting via websites or TV streaming as the highest Total Atractiveness Score.
In the context of accelerating electrification ratios, the power plant construction program with a total capacity of 35,000 MW is proclaimed by the Government of Indonesia. The portion of the program is shared to PT PLN, the state owned enterprises, and IPP as a private power plant, with the largest portion being given to the IPP. Amidst the declining market share conditions and the obligation of PT XYZ as a subsidiary of PT PLN to participate in the success of this program, the right competitive strategy formulation is needed to remain competitive. Data collection through questionnaires and in-depth interviews with experts was then carried out. Based on the strategic analysis tools used (PEST, external internal matrix, SWOT matrix, and QSPM), it was obtained that the current position of PT XYZ is grow and build. The priority strategy selected was to increase reliability in the plant operation. Ten main work programs were then developed to support the strategy implementation.
Determination of Pegagan Duck Agroindustry Policies Priority and Development Strategies (Conservation of Native Pegagan Duck Indonesia) (Published)
The objective of this research is to arrange Pegagan duck agroindustry policies and its development strategies. Pegagan Duck is a local germplasm native to Ogan Ilir District with a propect of being developed into local superior commodity. However, its population continues to decline. This research applied Expert Choice in Analytical hierarchy process (AHP) Application in order to determine policy priorities in Pegagan Duck agroindustry development in Ogan Ilir Sub-district. The result of this research showed that Pegagan Duck development can be present by implementing Good Farming Practice. Determination of alternative strategies in developing Pegagan duck Agroindustry was done by SWOT analysis whereas strategy priority determination was applied on Quantitative Strategy Planning Matrix (QSPM). It is concluded that, revitalization on local Pegagan duck stockbreeding center based on local resouces through regulation and implementation of appropriate technology was the chosen strategy.
