The Man’s Freedom and free will from the Point Of View of Muslim Philosophers (Published)
Freedom is of the fundamental issues related to the human and its social life, which is discussed under different titles. Man is characterized with an independent, wise and free character; the desire and feeling for freedom are inherent; in the road of life, the man is dominated by nothing preventing fulfillment of his will since God created him wise and free. The man’s voluntary evolution indicating its character and talent flourishing represents its freedom. According to Muslim philosophers’ view, the man’s freedom is essential for happiness; this necessity stems from Fitra and is the result of speech and other habits; as he is responsible for its own prosperity or adversity. Freedom, indeed, is the possibility and ability of utilizing and the will’s objective interpretation along being. It is implicitly defined as getting free from bondage and others’ dominance. Social freedom also comes from the authority view in which the man tries to fulfill his will in the society in order to remove existing constraints. Thus, in Islamic view, freedom is realized in three steps of internal freedom (intellectual and mental), external freedom (freedom in will’s objective realization) and social freedom (lack of acquiesce before social idols). Freedom in this interpretation is the divine evolution and forgery, which is non-assignable, nontransferrable and non-granted; further, it is considered as the basic fundamental of personality formation and development of the individual and society.
The contemporary societal characteristics, the rapid technological developments, the increase in age limits, the strong demographic changes, the high rates of unemployment have led to major changes in the workplace. There is a strong demand for national and international policies, which aim at the development of employability and prosperity of citizens. In a context of global co-operation and coalition, international organizations, such as the United Nations Organization, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the European Union (EU) Institutions, are called upon to play an important role in the development of prosperity, social cohesion and the economy of the countries, given that they have both the appropriate experience and the extensive diplomatic networks. In such a context, a great number of significant official texts have been drafted. Texts which provide policy guidance to member states in order to achieve growth and prosperity. This study, through the qualitative analysis of the European Commission’s text “Communication: A new skills agenda for Europe”, tries to capture and investigate the way employability can be protected and maintained. The analysis shows that a basic dimension of employability concerns the improvement and development of a skillset which people need to obtain in order to get and keep employed. These skills are planned and supported by corresponding policies and they are also differentiated according to target populations.
The Governance of Tin Mining in Bangka-Belitung Archipelago Province (From Perspective of Good Governance) (Published)
The objective of this research is the governance of tin mining which has not given the prosperity effect in Bangka-Belitung Archipelago Province. The tin mining is held without certainty and it is illegal. The governance of tin mining problem was analyzed with qualitative method. Data collecting was held by interview, documentation study and observation with the stakeholders who are relevant to this research as the key informants. The conclusion showed that the governance of thin mining has not given the optimal prosperity effect. It is caused by the lack of synergy among the local government, private entrepreneurs, inhabitant and no legislation synchronization. The stakeholders still have orientation with economy. In this case, the government targeted the Original Area Income from mining sector. Entrepreneurs and inhabitant oriented to look for advantages as much as possible. Meanwhile, the governance unsure of the governance implementation in tin mining sector is still low at accountability, transparency, participation, law enforcement, eradication corruption, poverty reduction, an insight into the future, orientation deal, and decentralization, so it needs the synergy of the stakeholders like local government, private, inhabitant and experts association and the partnership between PT. Timah or private company with inhabitant has to be set.
A Historical Discourse on Tithing and Seed Sowing In Some Nigerian Pentecostal Churches (Review Completed - Accepted)
Nigerian Pentecostal theology of prosperity has always been built around Tithing, Offering and Seed sowing with the attendant spill over effect on the mainline churches becoming more captivated in the practice. Even within the Pentecostal circles, the neo Pentecostals are steadily exerting a great deal of influence on the classical Pentecostals by enticing some of them to start preaching prosperity in the manner the neo Pentecostals do. This article employs oral interview as well as phenomenological and expository approaches in its studies. It is discovered that prosperity preaching is currently becoming an important religious phenomenon in the Nigerian religious landscape leading to the skyrocketing of prosperity churches in contemporary Nigeria. The article submits that it is high time those who preach prosperity in Nigeria maintained a balance between their prosperity emphasis and salvation messages for the sake of people’s souls
