The Effect of Leadership and Motivation on Employees Satisfaction: Evidence from Mirpur Division AJ&K in Restaurant Sector (Published)

Governance mechanism has received high attention in previous year and has been a developing for research. This is mainly because of failure of number of firms in different regions. Good governance mechanisms are considered important in aspect of motivation, leadership and independent audit committee to increase the performance with the satisfaction of customers. These factors effect differently in developing and developed countries due to cultural, economic, social issues. The main objective of our research is to understand and determine the effect of governance mechanism on customer satisfaction in Mirpur division AJ&K. Despite the significance of our subject matter no prior research has focus on governance mechanisms in Mirpur division AJ&K. To accomplish the research objectives a quantities method (question was adopted). The questionnaire survey was used to seek the response of governance mechanism in aspect of motivation, leadership and independent audit committee from top level management and response of satisfaction received from customers. The data were analyzed using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) to obtain quantities measure we use Pearson correlation, Mean, Standard deviation and regression. The finding of results shows that the customer satisfaction has positive relationship with motivation, leadership and independent audit committee. This study’s findings will also be beneficial to firms; government and policy maker as their political, social and economic environment are same.

Correlation between Employees’ Job Performance and Management Leadership Style in Tertiary Institutions in Lagos State (Published)

The study investigates the correlation between employees’ job performance and management leadership styles in tertiary institutions in Lagos state. Which comprises of university of lagos state, Akoka (UNILAG), Lagos state university, Ojo (LASU), Yaba college of Technology (YABATECH) and Adeniran Ogunsanya college of Education, Otto-Ijanikin (AOCEOD). The research design adopted is descriptive research design and was guided by four research questions and four research hypotheses. The population for the study comprised of all academic and non-academic staff in tertiary institutions owned and financed by both state and federal government in four tertiary institutions out of six (6) of both state and federal public tertiary institutions in Lagos state through purposive sampling technologies Fifty (50) academic and Fifty (50) non-academic staffs were selected through simple random sampling techniques from each of the four (4) tertiary institutions chosen for the study. In one hundred (100) respondents from each tertiary institution with the grand total of four hundred (400) respondents. The research instrument was structured questionnaire tagged “Questionnaire on Employees’ Job Performance and Management Leadership Style” (QEJPMLS) with the twenty (20) items. The data collected were analyzed using percentage and the pearson product moment correlation co-efficient test the significant correlation of the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significant. The findings of the study revealed that there is a correlation between employees job performance and autocratic leadership style at (R-cal value 0.097, R-table value 0.81, DF=4, level of sig. =0.05). And there is a correlation between employees’ job performance and democratic leadership style at (R-cal value 0.96, R-table value 0.81, level of Sig. = 0.05). Also, there is a correlation between employees’ style at (R-cal value 0.96, R-table value 0.81, level of Sig. = 0.05). Based on the findings of the study, recommendation were given. It was concluded that, autocratic democratic and laissez-faire management leadership style have an impact on the employees’ job performance in tertiary institutions in Lagos State.

Mathematics Teachers’ Leadership Styles and Learning Motivation among Secondary School Students in Cross River State, Nigeria (Published)

The study investigated Mathematics teachers’ leadership styles and learning motivation as perceived by secondary school students in Calabar Education Zone of Cross River State. The study utilized descriptive research design. Three research questions were asked to guide the study. Sample size was five hundred and ninety nine (599) SSII students randomly selected  from 49 public secondary schools through stratified random sampling technique. Mathematics Teachers’ Leadership Styles and Learning Motivation Questionnaires (MTLSMQ) with reliability coefficient of 0.74 were used to gather data for the study. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression statistical technique. Result showed that there is significant positive relationship between teachers’ leadership styles and students learning motivation. Based on the findings, ,it was recommended among others that training programme on leadership and general attitude to work should be organized for mathematics teachers in particular and teachers in general. This will help them to realize that they are leaders in the classroom.

The Impact of Leadership Style on Organizational Productivity: A Cases Study of National Hospital, Abuja (Published)

This research study focused on the impact of leadership style on organizational productivity. This study looks forward to know that reactions of staff toward leadership and also about workers performance in a Hospital firm. The objective of this study includes but not limited to: To identify the various6 types of leadership styles adopted by managers. To ascertain the environment forces influencing the adoption of such styles. To determine the predominant leadership strategic adopted by manager and to determine the efficiency of such styles in achieving organizational objective in these organization. The study was carried out on two perspectives in the historical method involves oral interview and questionnaires to ascertain what motivated leadership style in a firm. To achieve these objectives, primary and secondary data were collected using well constructed questionnaire the analyzed data in tubular from showing response and percentage; the outcome discussed and summarized that research identified as one of its objectives. That auto star gallery has hierarchical leadership structure. It was discovered that leadership of whatever style has a great influence on the general performance of the subordinates. As part recommendations, researcher suggested that competent personnel should be appointed to handle any leadership position. Also appointment into leadership positions should be directly on. It should be on political influence and/ or nepotism. In conclusion since good leadership enhance the achievement of organizational goals and objective and attracts love and respect from the subordinates. Any person in leadership position should imbibed good leadership qualities. It is further recommended that they should avoid insignificant correlation between management practices of leadership planning and organizational effectiveness does not imply dysfunctional effect of these practices but suggests the need for effective planning and effective leadership to achieve the desired level of effectiveness.
