Segmentation Approach to Develop the Use of E-Government Service Ontologies in Iraq Case Study (Published)
We can recognize e- government as an important mean to develop the government’s performance to be more sufficient and active, e-government lead to increment straight forwardness and adequacy in the state association, and in like manner the assignment of e-government is a system of advance that will develop the areas of occupants and agents to appreciate the new economy in view of knowledge and modern technology, applications, and also provides the possibility of citizens and civil society involvement in policy discussions of through coordinate exchange, and to bolster basic leadership, arrangement plan is seen a large portion of the nationals and their needs. There is still a real need to projects that serve all sectors and state institutions efficiently, still most institutions want to use solutions and applications to help in the work and service delivery management, but typically face a range of problems, including designs and studies, infrastructure for the project, licenses installation and operation, implementation and localization, training and support, maintenance and perpetuation and development and enlargement. This paper proposed framework to solve the previous problem of E-government in Iraq.
A Preliminary Investigation of Measuring Users Satisfaction & Success on Financial & Accounting Information System: Bruneian Perspective (Published)
The pilot study undertakes and validates the Delone & McLean’s (2003) instrument to measure users’ success of Financial and Accounting Information System (FAIS) developed for Brunei Government under its e-Government initiative. The model uses seven constructs such as system quality, information quality, service quality, system use, user’s satisfaction, net benefits and system success. The results based on the path analysis have shown that success of the FAIS is measured by the net benefit which in turn is determined by users’ satisfaction and system use. Majority (71%) of the respondents are satisfied from the system. The data analysis further shows significant path (beta coefficient- 0.42) from satisfaction to the benefits and 0.37 to success. However, 33% of the variance in success is explained by the net benefits. Based upon the analysis some suggestions and practical implications were discussed that would be helpful for the full study.
The Contributory Effects of Sociocultural Factors on E-Government Adoption among Nigerians (Published)
E-government is the use of internet technology to exchange information, transact businesses and provide services for the citizens and other arms of government. Specifically, it involves the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) by the government to serve its populace in a manner that accountability, openness, and mutual interaction are ensured and sustained. Impliedly, the policy is intended to involve the populace and the government in a relationship that guarantees the recognition and importance of citizens as well as their inputs in policy formulation and implementation.
THE CONTRIBUTORY EFFECTS OF SOCIO-CULTURAL FACTORS ON E-GOVERNMENT ADOPTION AMONG NIGERIANS (Published)
The aim of this study was to examine the extent to which socio-cultural factors, specifically, age, gender, and ethnic background influence the adoption of e-government services by Nigerians. Three aspects of the program (e-government) were identified viz. openness, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness.The methodology of this research is quantitative research based on a survey method using questionnaire as a data collection technique. The findings showed that age, gender and ethnic background all affect the satisfaction and adoption of e-government in Nigeria. It is believed that policy makers will find it helpful if they knew citizens’ perceptions toward e-government services.
AN OVERVIEW OF E-GOVERNMENT STRATEGY IN SUDAN (Published)
The explosive entry of technology into everyday life have changed how people live, work, how companies do their daily business and how governments serve their people. With the help of IT, governments are realizing that, by applying the same principles and technologies that are fueling e- business revolution, they can achieve similar transformation. The result is the emergency of e-governments. This paper will focus on e-government in Sudan. It will provide the general overview of e-government, its importance, types, stages and challenges facing this country in managing e-government. Finally, the study recommended that proper orientation should be given to E-Government adoption and development in Sudan.
