Factors Affecting participation of small holder farmers in primary cooperatives use: Evidence from Small Holder Farmers’ of Toke-Kutaye District (Published)

The overall objective of the study is to analyze the role of primary cooperatives in input/output marketing in toke Kutaye district, west shoa zone, Ethiopia. In order to see the role of primary cooperatives in input and output marketing, it was preferred to give emphasis on evaluating their overall performances and members’ participation as well as perceived problem and constraints which influences member’s participation. Simple percentage analysis, descriptive and econometrics model were employed to identify determining factors of the role of primary cooperatives in performing their activities as well as participation of the members. Two Keble are randomly selected.  A total of 120 member households of primary cooperatives were considered for this study and were included in the econometric model. Based on the results obtained training and awareness creation for households, improve cooperativesextension services and the Government should develop mechanisms to provide strong support on market oriented production. This study recommends that in order to make agricultural development successful these factors and problems are taken into consideration by policy makers to participate farmers in primary cooperative use. Our results have important implications for the management and future of farmers, as well as for the assessment of their development impacts.

Legal Protection of Customers ‘Funds in Terms Of Tort at Koperasi Cinta Kasih, Medan, Indonesia (Published)

Cooperative is one form of business entity that has a strategic role for the empowerment and strengthening  people’s economy. Cooperative as an economic institution of the people who have long known in Indonesia and the normative cooperative is a business entity with legal entity No. 154 / BH / 2006 which carry out the main business activities (the needs of facilities and infrastructure development) and savings and loan activities. This research  aims to analyze the legal protection provided to customers’ funds at Koperasi  Cinta Kasih Medan which carries out capital investment business which then experienced tort/default and is a normative legal research with related literature approach and legislation. The conclusion of this paper is if the loss of the cooperative due to the negligence of the cooperative management then the loss of the customer is borne by the cooperative management in accordance with the cooperative budget and if the cooperative suffers losses due to tort then the protection can be done through a default lawsuit.

IN-DEPTH ANALYSES OF THE REWARD STRUCTURES OF N- PERSON COOPERATIVE GAMES WITH SPECIFIED WINNING COALITIONS INVOLVING AT LEAST ONE MAJOR PLAYER (Published)

Explicit computational rewards were obtained for n- person cooperative games involving specific classes of players of different ranks by the construction and deployment of cardinality-based listing structure of combined sets of winning coalitions. The results were rigorously analyzed and validated with clearly derived mathematical relationships.
