Factors Influencing Burnout Among Nurses Working in Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Osun State, Nigeria (Published)

Burnout is considered to be the challenges that have made the life of workers unbearable especially with respect to healthcare professionals. Research has shown that burnout is on the increase among health workers globally. Therefore, this research is aimed at examining factors influencing burnout among nurses working in Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals complex, Osun State, Nigeria. The research adopted a quantitative descriptive survey research design. The sample size of 280 was determined by Taro’s formular. A self-structured questionnaire was validated and was used to collect data. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics at 0.05 level of significance. The result shows that most of the respondents (84.4%) were affected by the burnout because majority of them agreed that the burnout can occur as a result of increased work load with a mean score of 4.80.  Majority also claimed that poor remuneration could contribute to burnout since they are likely to have little or nothing to show for their consistent exhaustion, these respondents have a mean value of 4.30. Overall, the mean score of burnout of the respondents was 4.44. This implies that most of the respondents were moderately affected by the burnout among nurses. Further results on the hypotheses shows that there was a positive and low correlation between work-related factors and environmental factors influencing burn out among nurses (r=.377, p<0.0.01). Also, there was a positive and low correlation between work related factors and personal factors influencing burn out among nurses (r=.329, p<0.0.01). The research concluded work-related, personal and environmental factors were established as strong factors contributing to the effect of burnout among nurses. It is recommended that government agencies and medical practitioners should device ways by which burnout can be prevented among employees.

The levels of psychological burnout among teachers of the basic stage in Jordan in light of some variables (Published)

The study aimed to know the levels of psychological burnout among female teachers in the basic stage in Jordan, and the extent of the difference in these levels based on the educational qualification and the social status of female teachers, in addition to revealing the relationship between psychological burnout and each of the teaching experience and training courses for female teachers, and the sample consisted of (200) female teachers. Among the parameters of the southern region in Jordan, the researcher used the Maslash and Jackson scale of psychological combustion with its three dimensions: emotional stress, feeling dull, and lack of achievement. The results indicated that there is a low level of psychological combustion among the study sample, and that the levels of combustion differed according to the educational qualification, while there were no statistically significant differences attributable to the social situation, and the results also showed the absence of a relationship for most dimensions of combustion with teaching experience and training courses.

Employee’s Job Burnout, Worker’s Satisfaction and Commitment in Nigerian Banking Industry (A Study of Access Bank Plc) (Published)

This study evaluated the job burnout on workers’ satisfaction in Nigerian banking industry. The study was carried out using staff of Access Bank Plc in Lagos State which is one of the largest bank in Nigeria. The study made use of primary source of data which was gathered among 50 staff of Access Bank Plc at the Headquarter in Lagos through the use of questionnaires. Furthermore, Chi-square test was used to test the hypothesis and SPSS was used for the analysis of the data. The result of the analysed data shows that physical fatigue affects employees’ commitment. The study however recommended that there should be proper reward system in terms of good pay, benefits and incentives as a means of motivation which reduces job burnout and in turn enhances employees’ satisfaction and invariably employee’s commitment.

STATISTICAL STUDY ABOUT THE EFFECTING FACTORS IN BURNOUT (FIELD STUDY) (Published)

This Current Research aims to Shed Light on the Factors that Influencing The psycho burnout phenomenon among workers In the following three banks: AL Rasheed Bank (Saidiya, Baya’a, Arkhitah) And order These Factors In terms of the importance degree of Influencing Through a Survey Sample of individuals Views about (57). These Answers were analyzed by using standard deviation and correlation coefficient test and Spearman (Shevy) to detect differences in these answers depending On Personal Features. The research conclusions: The research proves that there is variation in severity of the impact of the factors in the phenomenon of burnout among workers in the surveyed banks and the order of these factors as the degree of Influence In the phenomenon (Professional, Individual, and Social) dimension. The research proved that there is a relationship between the happening of psycho-burnout phenomenon and its three dimensions. Absence of moral Differences of psych-burnout factors among the surveyed banks due to the personal characteristics such us (Age, Marital Status, Number of Service Years and Administrative Level).
