Perception of gender roles and language use among Yemeni Husbands

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception of gender role among Yemeni husbands. It mainly attempts to examine the relationship between perception of gender roles and the language used by husbands when they speak to their wives. It identifies language habits used by husbands and wives as well. SPSS was utilized to analyze the data. The findings revealed that there is strong relationship between perception of gender roles and the language used by husbands when they speak to their wives.
